In a significant move, the administration in Shahkund, Bhagalpur, has taken stringent action against large-scale encroachment on government land. On Tuesday, bulldozers were deployed to clear the illegally occupied land, resulting in the demolition of 19 unauthorized houses. This swift action caused considerable panic among the encroachers.

For a long time, the administration had been receiving complaints regarding illegal occupation of government land in the Shahkund area. In response to these complaints, the district administration decided to remove the encroachments. On Tuesday morning, a large contingent of police forces and administrative officials arrived at the site. Officials initially warned the encroachers and gave them an opportunity to remove the structures themselves. However, when the encroachers failed to comply, the process of demolishing the illegal constructions with bulldozers commenced.

During the operation, a total of 19 illegal houses, built unlawfully on government land, were targeted and razed. Robust security arrangements were in place to prevent any untoward incidents during the demolition drive. Local residents reported that these lands had been illegally occupied for many years, hindering government projects and development work.

Officials stated that such actions would continue and any illegal occupation of government land would not be tolerated. They appealed to the public to refrain from encroaching on government property, warning that strict legal action would be taken against offenders.
