A resident of Sheikhpura has reportedly been defrauded of ₹35 lakh in a land deal. The victim alleges that despite a land agreement being signed and the full payment made, the seller refused to register the property and continuously evaded returning the money. The incident occurred within the Sheikhpura Nagar Police Station area, where the victim has now sought police intervention.

According to Virendra Prasad Singh, a resident of Ward No. 24, Sheikhpura Nagar Parishad, he had entered into an agreement to purchase a piece of land for ₹35 lakh. He claims to have paid the entire amount, and a formal agreement was executed. However, when it came to the actual registration of the land, the seller allegedly backed out. Singh stated that upon demanding his money back, the seller started making excuses and procrastinating. After months of unfulfilled promises, Singh filed a complaint at the Sheikhpura Nagar Police Station.

The police have initiated an investigation into the matter, acknowledging its seriousness. The victim is appealing to the authorities to help him recover his hard-earned money and take strict action against the accused. This incident highlights the need for extreme caution in property transactions. Police officials have stated that all aspects of the case are being examined, and appropriate action will be taken soon.
