Four people were seriously injured in Sheikhpura district due to a violent clash over a property dispute. The incident occurred in a village under the Mufassil police station area, where a son-in-law initiated a dispute by demanding a share in the property from his retired father-in-law. The argument escalated into a full-blown physical altercation involving sticks, leaving four individuals, including two women, injured.

The injured include the retired father-in-law and his wife from one side, and the son-in-law and his wife from the other. All injured individuals have been admitted to the local Sadar Hospital for treatment. Upon receiving information about the incident, Mufassil police reached the spot and commenced an investigation. The police have recorded statements from the injured and initiated further proceedings.

According to the police, this dispute had been ongoing for a considerable time but turned violent on Monday evening. The son-in-law was persistently demanding a share in the ancestral property from his father-in-law, who was unwilling to concede. This led to a verbal altercation between the two parties, which then escalated into physical violence. Local residents stated that relations between the two families were already strained, and there had been numerous disputes over property in the past.

This incident once again highlights the seriousness of property disputes in rural areas, where minor disagreements often lead to major conflicts and violence. Police have confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered, and strict action will be taken against those responsible. The condition of the injured is reported to be stable, but they are currently under observation at the hospital.
