Sheikhpura Superintendent of Police (SP) Himanshu conducted a surprise inspection of the Barbigha Police Station and Police Circle Office on Friday. During his visit, he thoroughly reviewed the cleanliness of the police station premises, maintenance of records, and overall police functioning. The SP also inspected the Malkhana (storehouse for seized goods), lock-up, and CCTV surveillance system, inquiring about the functionality of cameras and wireless communication services from officials. He meticulously reviewed the station's arrangements and record-keeping methods.

During the inspection, SP Himanshu reviewed pending criminal cases and instructed officers to complete investigations swiftly and file charge sheets in court. He also emphasized expediting the investigation of older cases to ensure timely resolution of judicial matters.

SP Himanshu directed Police Circle Inspector Brajesh Kumar, Station House Officer Gaurav Kumar, and other police officials to maintain a friendly demeanor with the public and ensure peace and order in the area. He specifically called for a 'zero tolerance' policy in cases related to murder, rape, cyber fraud, and liquor offenses.

In view of upcoming festivals, the SP instructed the SHO to increase regular patrolling in the town and remain prepared to assist the public. According to police sources, the functioning of the police station and circle office was found satisfactory during the inspection. Preparations for this inspection had been underway for several days, with all police officers and staff present.
