On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan in Shekhpura, 20 new scooters and motorcycles were provided to women police personnel to promote women's empowerment and ensure their safety. Students from PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, located at the district headquarters, flagged off these vehicles, marking a significant step to strengthen the women's safety campaign.

The event was attended by SP Himanshu, ASP Dr. Manish Kumar Rakesh Kumar, and DSP Line, along with a large number of women DSPs and women station house officers. The distribution ceremony was specially organized at the Police Line. SP Himanshu stated that a total of 20 scooters and motorcycles have been received from the Police Headquarters, which will be linked to various police stations across the district.

He clarified that these vehicles will facilitate quick action, similar to the Dial 112 service, particularly in enhancing women's safety and curbing harassment of school-going girls. SP Himanshu also mentioned that all 'Police Didis' involved in this campaign are receiving special training. An initiative has been launched to fully empower and activate them for the safety of women and girls.

These vehicles were dispatched on the auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan for the protection of girls. All police officers participating in the campaign were given tips on crime control and apprehending criminals while riding motorcycles and scooters. They have been specially trained to instill fear in criminals and establish trust and peace among the general public. In the future, they will also be equipped with modern technology. The deployment of women police officers as 'Police Didis' for the safety of school and coaching-going girls has commenced.
