Preparations for the Shravani Mela 2026 are in their final stages, with top priority given to the safety and convenience of devotees. In light of this, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and Superintendent of Police (SP) of the concerned district conducted a detailed inspection of the Kaunwariya Path. The primary objective of this inspection was to assess the security arrangements, cleanliness, lighting, and other basic facilities along the pilgrimage route.

Officials stated that special security measures are being implemented to manage the large crowds of devotees expected on the Kaunwariya Path. Over 10,000 police personnel and volunteers will be deployed across the entire मेला (fair) area. This includes regular police forces, Home Guards, special armed forces, and women police officers. Security personnel have received special training in crowd control, emergency response, and monitoring suspicious activities.

Medical camps are being set up at various points along the Kaunwariya Path, providing first aid and essential medicines. Special attention is also being paid to the provision of drinking water and sanitation facilities to ensure devotees face no inconvenience. Furthermore, lighting systems are being enhanced, especially for pilgrims traveling at night.

Both the DC and SP have instructed the local administration to complete all preparations on time, emphasizing that no negligence will be tolerated. They also appealed to the public to adhere to the guidelines issued by the administration and cooperate in ensuring a peaceful conduct of the fair. Millions of devotees are expected to arrive this year, and the administration is committed to making their journey safe and pleasant.
