The newly appointed District Magistrate (DM) of Sitamarhi has issued stringent directives to curb corruption and streamline administrative efficiency in the district immediately after assuming office. The DM explicitly stated that officials and employees who have been stationed in the same position for years will be promptly transferred. Reaffirming the administration's stance, the DM declared that the 'zero tolerance' policy against corruption has always been in place, continues to be so, and will remain a cornerstone in the future. All departmental officials have been warned to operate with utmost transparency and integrity.

During his inaugural review meeting, the DM made it clear that no level of negligence or corruption would be tolerated. He noted that prolonged tenure of personnel in a single location often leads to complaints of irregularities. Taking cognizance of these issues, he ordered the preparation of a list of such employees for immediate transfer. This move aims to inject new vigor into administrative operations and mitigate potential avenues for corruption.

The DM further emphasized that strict action would be taken against officials causing unnecessary delays or prevarication in public service delivery. All departments have been instructed to ensure swift and satisfactory resolution of public grievances. He stressed that the benefits of various government welfare schemes must reach beneficiaries without any intermediaries or corrupt practices.
