सीवान जिले के भगवानपुर हाट प्रखंड मुख्यालय बाजार में एक बस की ठोकर से दो छात्राएं गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गईं। घटना गुरुवार सुबह एस एस हाई स्कूल सह इंटर कॉलेज के गेट के समीप एनएच-331 के किनारे हुई। स्थानीय लोगों ने तुरंत घायल छात्राओं को सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र (सीएचसी) में भर्ती कराया।
घायल छात्राओं की पहचान महम्मदपुर निवासी मनोज प्रसाद की पुत्री अंजली कुमारी और भगवानपुर निवासी किताबुद्दीन अंसारी की पुत्री अंजुम खातून के रूप में हुई है। दोनों छात्राएं शिक्षक प्रशिक्षण कॉलेज की छात्राएं हैं और कॉलेज जाने के लिए घर से निकली थीं। वे भगवानपुर बाजार में एस एस हाई स्कूल सह इंटर कॉलेज के पास ऑटो या किसी अन्य सवारी वाहन का इंतजार कर रही थीं, तभी छपरा से मलमलिया की ओर जा रही एक बस ने उन्हें लापरवाही से टक्कर मार दी।
स्थानीय लोगों ने बताया कि बाजार में एनएच-331 के किनारे ऑटो, ई-रिक्शा, पिकअप जैसे वाहनों के अनाधिकृत पड़ाव के कारण अक्सर जाम की स्थिति बनी रहती है, जिससे आए दिन छोटी-बड़ी दुर्घटनाएं होती रहती हैं।
घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और बस चालक प्रमोद राय को हिरासत में ले लिया। प्रमोद राय सारण जिले के मुफसिल थाना क्षेत्र के बाजितपुर गांव के निवासी राम इकबाल राय के पुत्र हैं। बस को भी पुलिस अभिरक्षा में ले लिया गया है। थानाध्यक्ष आशुतोष कुमार सिंह ने बताया कि घायल छात्राओं या उनके परिजनों के आवेदन का इंतजार किया जा रहा है। आवेदन मिलने के बाद आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

A bus traveling from Chhapra towards Malmalia negligently struck them.
Local residents reported that unauthorized parking of autos, e-rickshaws, and pickup vans along NH-331 in the market often leads to traffic congestion and frequent minor and major accidents.
Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the scene and apprehended the bus driver, Pramod Rai, son of Ram Iqbal Rai from Bajitpur village under Mufassil Police Station in Saran district. The bus has also been taken into police custody. Station House Officer Ashutosh Kumar Singh stated that they are awaiting an application from the injured students or their families to proceed with further legal action.
