In a significant operation in Siwan district, ten minor girls were rescued following a raid on an orchestra group. Police have arrested two individuals on serious charges of human trafficking and immoral trafficking. The raid was conducted based on confidential intelligence indicating that minor girls were being exploited for prostitution and trafficked under the guise of an orchestra.

Acting on the directives of the Superintendent of Police (SP), a special team was formed which promptly raided the orchestra's location. During the operation, 10 minor girls were safely extracted from the premises. It is suspected that these girls were lured or coerced into the sex trade. Police officials stated that the accused brought girls from various distant areas, ostensibly for orchestra work, and then forced them into illicit activities.

Intensive interrogation of the two arrested accused is underway to identify other members of this syndicate and uncover its network. Police believe this could be a large-scale racket operating in the region. The rescued girls have been presented before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) for counseling. Processes for their rehabilitation and reunification with their families will be initiated. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered under relevant sections related to human trafficking and immoral trafficking, and further investigation is ongoing. This incident once again highlights the grave issues of human trafficking and exploitation of minors prevalent in society.
