A shocking incident has come to light in Padghari village, under the Barahat police station area, where a son allegedly assaulted his own mother and threw her out of the house. The victim, Radha Devi, has filed a written complaint against her elder son at the Barahat police station. Radha Devi informed the police that her son consumes intoxicants daily and demanded money from her for his addiction. When she refused to give him money and protested, her son, in a drunken state, brutally beat her. After the assault, he also expelled his mother from their home.

Following the incident, with the help of local residents and family members, the injured Radha Devi was immediately taken to the Barahat Community Health Center, where she received primary treatment. After treatment, she went to the Barahat police station and demanded legal action against her son. This incident highlights the growing trend of drug addiction in society and its dire consequences, where the addiction compelled a son to lay hands on his own mother. Barahat Station House Officer Ashok Kumar stated that the victim's application has been received, and a swift and lawful investigation and action will be taken in the matter.
