A significant step has been taken to strengthen the police system in the Sonbarsa Kachahari police station area of Saharsa district. On Wednesday, Dr. Kumar Ashish, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Kosi Range, formally inaugurated the newly constructed police station building at Sonbarsa Kachahari. With this, regular police work has also commenced from the new facility. Equipped with modern amenities, the new building is expected to provide better police services to the public. Police officials believe it will also aid in crime control, swift action, and maintaining law and order.

Following the inauguration, all administrative and police operations of Sonbarsa Kachahari Police Station will now be conducted from this modern building. The facility includes proper seating arrangements for complainants, efficient counters for filing complaints, secure storage for records, and a contemporary workspace for police personnel. Officials state that the new setup will allow the public to access police services in a more organized and convenient manner than before.

DIG Dr. Kumar Ashish, the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony, cut the ribbon to open the building. Saharsa Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikram Sihag was also present. Officials emphasized that the state government is continuously working to strengthen police infrastructure. Modern police station buildings provide a better working environment for police personnel, accelerating investigations, inquiries, and the maintenance of law and order, while also strengthening trust between the public and the police.

Land donors, local public representatives, dignitaries, police officers, and a large number of villagers attended the inauguration. Villagers and representatives hailed the new police station building as a significant achievement for the area's development. They expressed that the modern facility would make police services more accessible and improve overall security. At the end of the program, officials inspected the new police station building and its facilities, instructing police officers to work sensitively, responsibly, and transparently towards the public. The administration believes the new station will enhance police operations, expedite complaint resolution, improve crime control, and strengthen the judicial process, directly benefiting thousands of people in the Sonbarsa Kachahari police station area.
