Sheikhpura Superintendent of Police (SP) Himanshu conducted a surprise inspection of the Barbigha police station on Tuesday. During his visit, he thoroughly examined various registers and records. The SP directed the Station House Officer (SHO) to not only focus on crime control but also to treat the general public with respect. He emphasized that police behavior should foster public trust, encouraging people to approach the station with their problems without hesitation.

During the inspection, SP Himanshu reviewed pending cases and issued necessary instructions for their speedy resolution. He specifically expressed concern over the issue of road congestion and called for concrete steps to alleviate it. The SP directed that traffic management in the Barbigha market be improved and encroachment removal drives be undertaken to resolve the persistent traffic jams. He stressed that strict action should be taken against those encroaching on public roads to ensure smooth movement for the general public.

The SP also emphasized maintaining cleanliness and discipline within the police station premises. He stated that the station's environment should boost the morale of police personnel and motivate them to perform better. He advised police personnel to carry out their duties with honesty and integrity. The primary objective of this inspection was to enhance the effectiveness of policing at the station level and ensure prompt redressal of public grievances. SP Himanshu stated that such surprise inspections would continue in the future to maintain transparency and accountability in the police system.
