Motihari News: In a significant breakthrough against drug trafficking in the Sugauli police station area, the Bihar STF and district police conducted a joint operation, leading to the arrest of four alleged traffickers. During a raid on Sunday, the team seized 300 grams of heroin, a four-wheeler, and four mobile phones. Police are now investigating the source of the heroin and gathering information about others involved in the trafficking network.

According to Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat, a special team from the STF and the district police jointly carried out the raid in the Sugauli police station area on Sunday. The operation resulted in the arrest of Ram Pravesh Yadav alias Manoj Yadav (a resident of Sugauli), Suman Yadav (a resident of Ramgarhwa), Chhabila Yadav (a resident of Ramgarhwa), and Sipahi Mahto (a resident of Chiraiya). Police recovered a total of 300 grams of heroin from the arrested individuals, along with a four-wheeler suspected of being used in trafficking and four mobile phones.

Following the recovery, police are scrutinizing the seized mobile phones and other evidence to uncover further links in the trafficking chain. The criminal backgrounds of all arrested individuals are also being investigated. Authorities are working to determine the origin of the seized heroin and its intended destination, as well as the roles of other individuals involved in this trafficking network.

An FIR has been registered in the case under Sugauli Police Station Case No. 437/26, and legal proceedings against the arrested accused have commenced. The action has reportedly caused a stir among active drug dealers in the area.
