The Sujha Bharra PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Society) recently organized its annual general meeting, drawing a large number of farmers. The meeting served as a crucial platform for extensive discussions on various issues pertinent to the agricultural sector. The primary objective was to address farmers' concerns, deliberate on potential solutions, and strategize on accelerating agricultural development in the region.

Farmers at the meeting vocally expressed their challenges related to crops, irrigation, fertilizer availability, difficulties in accessing government schemes, and concerns regarding Minimum Support Price (MSP). Many highlighted the untimely supply of fertilizers and seeds, impacting crop sowing. Inadequate irrigation facilities also emerged as a major issue, particularly in areas lacking canal access or heavily reliant on rainfall.

PACS officials listened attentively to the farmers, assuring them that their concerns would be conveyed to the relevant authorities. They also provided information on various schemes and facilities offered by the PACS, including credit facilities, seed distribution, and agricultural equipment. Officials reiterated the PACS's commitment to empowering farmers economically and enhancing agricultural productivity.

Agricultural experts present at the assembly emphasized the adoption of modern farming techniques, crop diversification, and organic farming. They advised farmers to conduct soil tests and use fertilizers accordingly to maintain soil fertility. Awareness was also raised about maximizing benefits from government agricultural schemes like PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, crop insurance, and agricultural machinery grants.

This annual general meeting proved to be a vital forum for dialogue between farmers and PACS management. It is hoped that the discussions and suggested solutions from this meeting will contribute significantly to promoting agricultural development at the grassroots level and increasing farmers' income.
