Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming Shravani Mela in Sultanganj. Various works are being carried out rapidly to ensure the convenience and safety of devotees on the Kanwariya path. In this regard, the laying of GSB (Granular Sub-Base) and sand has commenced in rain-cut sections. This work is specifically being undertaken in areas where soil erosion due to rain has occurred, potentially causing inconvenience to pedestrians.

The Shravani Mela, which attracts a large number of devotees every year, is a crucial stop for the Kanwar Yatra from Sultanganj to Deoghar. Millions of devotees collect water from the Ganga River and proceed towards Baba Baidyanath Dham. Therefore, making the route smooth and safe is the administration's top priority.

Officials stated that laying GSB and sand in these rain-cut sections will not only enhance the strength of the path but also reduce mud and slipperiness, making it easier for Kanwariyas to walk. Additionally, other essential repair works are being carried out simultaneously, including filling potholes, arranging lighting, and managing basic facilities like drinking water and toilets.

The local administration has instructed all concerned departments to complete all preparations in a timely manner to avoid any disorganization during the fair. Special attention is also being given to security arrangements, with plans to deploy additional police forces for crowd control. It is hoped that these preparations will ensure a pleasant and safe experience for devotees during this year's Shravani Mela.
