Supal District Magistrate (DM) Sawan Kumar has taken a stern stance on the increasing number of pending mutation (dakhil-kharij) cases in the district. A total of 4462 mutation cases have been found pending, prompting the DM to severely reprimand the concerned Circle Officers (COs). He has issued strict instructions to all COs to dispose of all these pending cases within the next 35 days.

DM Sawan Kumar held a review meeting where he expressed deep dissatisfaction over the slow progress in mutation cases. He emphasized that the common public should not face unnecessary delays in getting their land records updated. The pendency of mutation cases not only indicates slackness in government work but also contributes to land disputes and other legal complexities.

During the meeting, the DM sought detailed information on pending cases from each circle and demanded explanations from the concerned officials. He stated that if the cases are not disposed of within the stipulated timeframe, strict departmental action will be taken against the responsible officers. The DM stressed on ensuring transparency and accountability, directing officials to process all applications according to rules and warned that no form of negligence would be tolerated.

This directive is a significant step towards the speedy resolution of land-related matters in Supal district and providing relief to the general public. The district administration aims to prioritize the disposal of all pending mutation cases to update land records and ensure smooth service delivery to the public.
