In a significant crackdown against drug trafficking in Supaul district, Supaul police station has seized 67 grams of smack from a rented house located in Vidyapuri Ward No. 2. During the operation, four accused individuals were arrested on the spot. Electronic weighing scales, mobile phones, and a cash amount of Rs 11,760 were also confiscated from their possession. An FIR has been registered under the NDPS Act, and further investigation has begun.

Sadar SDPO Rajiv Ranjan informed in a Saturday press conference that the police received a tip-off about Abhishek Kumar secretly selling smack with his associates from a rented house in Vidyapuri Ward No. 2. Upon receiving the information, a special team was formed under the direction of senior officials. Subsequently, a formal raid was conducted, and the house was searched around 10 AM on Friday.

During the raid, police recovered 67 grams of smack, two electronic weighing scales, two gas lighters, seven Android mobile phones, three keypad mobile phones, three ATM cards, one Voter ID card, one PAN card, and Rs 11,760 in cash. According to the police, most of the recovered mobile phones were found to be damaged.

The arrested accused have been identified as Abhishek Kumar, a resident of Vidyapuri Ward No. 2 (permanent address Basaha, Pipra Police Station); Bhushan Kumar, a resident of Dabhari Ward No. 8; Chandan Kumar, a resident of Mungrar Ward No. 9; and Pramod Kumar Yadav, a resident of Balwa Punarwas Ward No. 1. Supaul Police Station Case No. 478/2026 has been registered in this regard. Action has been taken under Sections 21(b), 25, 27(a), and 29 of the NDPS Act 1985. Police are interrogating the arrested individuals to ascertain the source of the smack consignment and identify other members involved in this network. Police stated that raids are ongoing to apprehend other individuals involved in drug trafficking.
