In a significant operation, the Supaul police have seized 612 bottles of foreign liquor worth ₹9.18 lakh. The raid also led to the discovery of a Bolero vehicle used for transportation and a hidden cellar specifically constructed to store the illicit alcohol. Two individuals involved in the illegal liquor trade were arrested on the spot.

The police received confidential information regarding large-scale illegal foreign liquor operations within the district. Acting on this tip-off, a special team was formed, and a raid was planned. During the operation, the police intercepted a Bolero vehicle and, upon searching it, found a considerable quantity of foreign liquor. Further investigation by the police led to the discovery of a secret cellar where additional liquor was concealed.

The total estimated value of the seized liquor, comprising 612 bottles of various brands, is ₹9.18 lakh. Police officials stated that the two arrested individuals are key members of this liquor trafficking network. They are currently being interrogated to uncover the full extent of the syndicate and identify other involved parties.

Since the implementation of prohibition in Bihar, the illegal liquor trade has remained a major challenge. The police and excise department are continuously conducting campaigns to curb such activities. This operation in Supaul is considered a significant success for the police, disrupting the plans of liquor smugglers. An FIR has been registered in the case, and further legal action is underway.
