सुपौल पुलिस ने एक बड़ी आपराधिक वारदात को अंजाम देने की फिराक में घूम रहे अंतरजिला गिरोह के तीन सदस्यों को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस ने इनके पास से पांच देसी कट्टा, एक पिस्टल और 17 जिंदा कारतूस बरामद किए हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त, एक मोटरसाइकिल, हथौड़े, प्लाय कटर समेत अन्य उपकरण भी जब्त किए गए हैं, जिनका उपयोग गृहभेदन जैसी आपराधिक घटनाओं में किया जा सकता था। पुलिस की त्वरित कार्रवाई से गिरोह की योजना विफल हो गई।
शनिवार को एसपी शरथ आरएस ने एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में बताया कि जिले में गंभीर आपराधिक घटना की साजिश रचे जाने की सूचना मिलने के बाद एक विशेष टीम का गठन किया गया था। 22 अक्टूबर की रात को पुलिस को सूचना मिली थी कि त्रिवेणीगंज अनुमंडल क्षेत्र में अंतरजिला गिरोह के कुछ सदस्य एकत्रित होकर किसी बड़ी वारदात को अंजाम देने की तैयारी कर रहे हैं। इस सूचना को गंभीरता से लेते हुए अनुमंडल पुलिस पदाधिकारी दिलीप कुमार और त्रिवेणीगंज के नेतृत्व में एक विशेष टीम गठित की गई, जिसमें अनुमंडल क्षेत्र के सभी थानाध्यक्षों को शामिल किया गया।
पुलिस टीम कई दिनों से गिरोह की गतिविधियों पर नजर रख रही थी और तकनीकी तथा अन्य माध्यमों से संदिग्धों की पहचान कर सूचना का सत्यापन किया। इसके बाद पुलिस ने घेराबंदी कर छापेमारी की और तीन संदिग्धों को हिरासत में लेकर तलाशी ली। गिरफ्तार आरोपियों की पहचान पूर्णिया जिले के बनमनखी थाना क्षेत्र के पिपरा वार्ड नंबर-12 निवासी अजय यादव, बेला बदन वार्ड नंबर-14 निवासी फूलो ततमा और अररिया जिले के भरगामा थाना क्षेत्र के खजुरी बाजार वार्ड नंबर-7 निवासी शशि ठाकुर के रूप में हुई है। पूछताछ में आरोपियों ने सुपौल में आपराधिक वारदात की योजना बनाने की बात स्वीकार की है।
एसपी ने बताया कि गिरोह को स्थानीय स्तर पर कुछ संदिग्ध लोगों का सहयोग मिलने की जानकारी सामने आई है। ऐसे लोगों को चिह्नित कर उनकी भूमिका की जांच की जा रही है। मामले में राजेश्वरी थाना में प्राथमिकी दर्ज कर कानूनी कार्रवाई की जा रही है। पुलिस गिरोह के अन्य सदस्यों की पहचान और गिरफ्तारी के लिए संभावित ठिकानों पर छापेमारी कर रही है, साथ ही गिरोह के नेटवर्क और पूर्व में हुई आपराधिक घटनाओं में उसकी संभावित संलिप्तता की भी जांच की जा रही है। गिरफ्तार आरोपियों को न्यायिक हिरासत में भेजने की प्रक्रिया की जा रही है।

On the night of October 22, police received information that some members of an interstate gang were gathering in the Triveniganj subdivision area to execute a major crime. Taking the information seriously, a special team was constituted under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Dilip Kumar and Triveniganj, including all station house officers from the subdivision.
The police team had been monitoring the gang's activities for several days, identifying suspects through technical and other means, and verifying the information. Subsequently, the police cordoned off the area, conducted a raid, and detained three suspects for search. The arrested accused have been identified as Ajay Yadav from Pipra Ward No. 12, Banmankhi Police Station area, Purnia district; Phulo Tatma from Bela Badan Ward No. 14, Purnia district; and Shashi Thakur from Khajuri Bazaar Ward No. 7, Bhargama Police Station area, Araria district. During interrogation, the accused admitted to planning a criminal incident in Supaul.
The SP also stated that information has emerged about some suspicious local individuals cooperating with the gang. These individuals are being identified, and their roles are being investigated. An FIR has been registered at Rajeshwari Police Station, and legal action is being pursued. The police are conducting raids at potential hideouts to identify and apprehend other gang members, and are also investigating the gang's network and its possible involvement in previous criminal incidents. The process of sending the arrested accused to judicial custody is underway.
