A tragic road accident in Supaul district has resulted in the death of a man and left his five-year-old son critically injured. The incident occurred when the man was returning home with his child after purchasing 'litti' (a traditional Bihari dish). A speeding car struck them, causing the man's immediate death.

The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Manoj Sah, son of Pramod Sah, a resident of Pipra Khurd village in Supaul district. Manoj Sah was returning home with his five-year-old son, Vishal Kumar, on Saturday night after buying litti when an unknown speeding car hit them with great force. The impact was so severe that Manoj Sah died on the spot.

Vishal Kumar, who sustained serious injuries in the accident, was immediately rushed to Sadar Hospital Supaul by locals and the police. Due to his critical condition, doctors provided primary treatment and then referred him to a higher medical center for better care. The child's condition is reportedly still critical.

Upon receiving information about the incident, local police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. The police have registered a case against the unknown car driver and have initiated an investigation to apprehend the absconding driver. The incident has plunged the victim's family into deep grief, and a pall of sorrow hangs over the village. Relatives are distraught, and local residents have demanded appropriate compensation for the affected family and strict action against those responsible.
