Patients and healthcare workers at Taraiya Community Health Centre (CHC) are facing significant difficulties due to the lack of a generator facility. Essential health services at the hospital come to a halt whenever there is a power cut. The situation is so dire that even ECG tests cannot be conducted during electricity outages.

The problem becomes particularly acute during sterilization operations. It is reported that when the power supply is interrupted during such procedures, operations have to be completed with the aid of mobile phone flashlights. Patients also face hardships in getting necessary tests and treatments.

The absence of an alternative power supply system in a crucial medical institution like a Community Health Centre raises serious questions about the quality of health services. A generator is urgently needed to prevent inconvenience to patients and ensure the smooth functioning of medical services during power cuts.

Dr. Alok Bihari Sharan, the hospital in-charge, stated that requests for a generator have been sent to the district authorities multiple times, but no action has been taken yet. There is an expectation from the health department to resolve this critical issue promptly to ensure better health facilities for patients.
