A new three-bed dialysis center was formally inaugurated at Tarapur Sub-Divisional Hospital in Munger on Thursday evening. Munger Civil Surgeon Dr. Raju cut the ribbon to officially open the center. Immediately after the inauguration, the first dialysis procedure was successfully performed on Mohammad Mehboob Alam, a kidney patient from Lakhanpur.

This crucial procedure was carried out under the leadership of DMO Dr. Prince Kumar, with the supervision of Civil Surgeon Dr. Raju and In-charge Superintendent Dr. Madan Kumar Pathak. Senior Dialysis Technician Somen Vallabh and GNM Anju Kumari performed the dialysis.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Raju stated that the commencement of dialysis services would bring significant relief to kidney patients in Tarapur and surrounding rural areas. Patients will no longer need to travel to distant cities like Munger, Bhagalpur, or Patna for regular dialysis, thereby reducing both their time and financial burden. He added that the sub-divisional hospital is continuously striving to provide improved healthcare services, and the addition of this modern facility will further strengthen its offerings.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Center In-charge Ravi Bhushan, along with hospital doctors, healthcare workers, and several dignitaries. Local residents expressed their joy over the new dialysis center, noting that this facility had been a long-standing demand. They extended their gratitude to the local MLA and Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, whose efforts have made quality local treatment accessible to thousands of kidney patients.
