A special awareness campaign has been launched at Tarapur Sub-Divisional Hospital in Munger to protect patients from brokers and inform them about free health services. Under the initiative of In-charge Deputy Superintendent Dr. Madan Kumar Pathak, several banners and posters were put up across the hospital premises on Thursday, drawing public attention.

The banners detail various free facilities available at the hospital, including OPD, emergency services, medicines, food, delivery, sterilization, blood tests, X-rays, physiotherapy, eye examinations, ECG, and ambulance services. This information is particularly crucial for patients and their families from rural areas, who often lack complete knowledge of hospital procedures and free amenities.

The primary objective of the campaign is to safeguard patients from potential financial exploitation. The banners clearly warn that if any healthcare worker, office staff, ASHA worker, or broker demands money for these services or attempts to extort money through intimidation, complaints can be lodged without fear on the provided mobile numbers.

Dr. Pathak's initiative is being praised by patients and local residents. They believe that such awareness campaigns will increase patients' awareness of their rights and strengthen their trust in the hospital system. This step is expected to help reduce the influence of intermediaries and ensure that all needy individuals receive essential health services without any additional charges.
