Preparations for the auspicious festival of Janmashtami are in full swing in Tarapur. With the festival slated for September 4th this year, an atmosphere of excitement pervades the entire region. Sculptors are meticulously working to give final touches to the captivating idols of Lord Krishna.

Renowned sculptors from Dhouni are also busy crafting Krishna idols. The construction of these idols is nearly complete, and now the focus is on painting and finishing touches. According to the sculptors, intricate work is being done to make the idols appealing. Special attention is being paid to bringing the facial expressions of Lord Krishna to life, aiming for a realistic depiction of his childhood form. Crowns, garments, and ornaments are also being adorned, adding to the beauty of the idols. Once the painting and decoration are complete, these idols will be handed over to the respective puja committees for worship on Janmashtami.

Janmashtami will be celebrated on September 4th this year, generating immense enthusiasm among devotees. Preparations for the birth celebration are underway at temples and various worship sites. Temples are being attractively decorated, and special lighting arrangements are being made. Alongside prayers, preparations for bhajans, kirtans, and cultural programs are also in progress. Devotees are eagerly awaiting the darshan (sight) of Lord Krishna and special prayers on Janmashtami.
