A dispute erupted on Monday between a house owner and laborers from Banahara village during piling work at an under-construction house in Milki village, under the Gangta police station area in Tetia Bambar block of Munger district. The verbal altercation quickly escalated into a physical fight. Following this, enraged laborers blocked NH-333 at Banahara Chowk, located on the Kharagpur-Jamui road.

The road blockade lasted for approximately two hours, causing long queues of vehicles and disrupting traffic flow. Upon receiving information, Gangta police arrived at the scene and managed to persuade the villagers and protesters to clear the road. Traffic resumed normalcy thereafter.

Mahesh Kumar, the acting station house officer of Gangta Police Station, confirmed that the road blockade was a protest against the altercation and assault that occurred between the house owner and laborers during the piling work in Milki village. He also stated that no formal complaint or application has been received from either party regarding the incident. Appropriate legal action will be taken once an application is filed.
