A program was organized on Friday near the Gandhi statue located in the Tarapur Nagar Panchayat complex in Munger district, commemorating Gandhi Jayanti. On this occasion, Tarapur Sub-Divisional Officer Mahesh Kumar, DSP Kumar Devendra, Executive Officer Sonali Priya, BDO Prashant Kumar, CO Santosh Kumar, and several other officials paid floral tributes and garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

The program commenced with Executive Officer Sonali Priya applying 'tilak-chandan' to Gandhi ji's statue and offering her respects. Subsequently, all the dignitaries present offered flowers to Bapu's statue and remembered his ideals. Speaking on the occasion, SDO Mahesh Kumar stated that Mahatma Gandhi's life was dedicated to truth, non-violence, and cleanliness. He emphasized that Bapu's thoughts remain highly relevant for society and the nation even today.

SDO Mahesh Kumar appealed to those present, urging them not to confine Bapu's ideals merely to ceremonies but to adopt them in their daily behavior and actions. He called upon every individual to fulfill their responsibility towards building a clean and beautiful society. Afzal Hoda, Rafi Ujjama, Pappu Ejaz, Roshan Kumar, and other notable personalities were also present at the event.
