Students in Tarapur, Munger, staged a protest march on Saturday against the alleged lathi charge and tear gas shelling on students in Delhi. A large number of students, carrying banners, posters, and the national flag, took to the streets, chanting slogans against the administration.

The protest march commenced from R College Mod and proceeded through Shaheed Chowk and Tarapur Bazaar, concluding at the Gandhi statue located in the Block Office complex, where a garland ceremony was held. Prior to this, students also sang the national anthem at Shaheed Chowk.

Anticipating the protest, the administration remained vigilant. A significant number of police officers, magistrates, and police personnel, led by Tarapur SHO Raj Kumar, were deployed along the march route. The police force accompanied the procession from R College Mod to the Gandhi statue, ensuring that the students' demonstration remained peaceful and no untoward incidents occurred.

Ankit Kumar, a student leading the movement, stated that the primary demand of the students is the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and NTA Chairman Pradeep Kumar Joshi. He alleged that the students' demands are being consistently ignored. Ankit Kumar emphasized that the protest was entirely peaceful, aiming to draw the government's attention to the students' issues.

Another student, Abhinav Kumar, highlighted that students have been protesting for the past month, yet the government has not taken any positive steps towards their demands. He stressed that the movement was not intended for violence or disturbance but rather to democratically apprise the government of the students' problems.
