The Bihar State Primary Teachers Association (Gopgut) and the National Women Teachers Front, Bhojpur, organized a protest march in Arrah against the commercialization, privatization, and corporatization of education. Teachers demanded that the government withdraw transfer orders issued under the guise of 'surplus teachers,' declare Saturdays as half-days for schools, implement the old pension scheme, and exempt serving teachers from the TET examination.

The march commenced from Jai Prakash Narayan Smriti Park, passing through Red Cross, Shaheed Bhawan, Mathia Mor, Subhash Chandra Bose Smarak, Nagri Pracharini, Bhimrao Ambedkar Smarak, Arrah Nagar Nigam, and the Superintendent of Police's office, before concluding back at JP Smarak, where it transformed into a public meeting.

Addressing the teachers, Krishna Singh Vimal, District President of the Bihar State Primary Teachers Association (Gopgut), stated that similar five-kilometer marches with the slogan 'Save Education, Save Nation' were being held in all district headquarters across Bihar. He alleged a conspiracy by governments to merge and close schools. District Secretary Dharam Kumar Ram highlighted that the commercialization of education is making it increasingly expensive and inaccessible for common people.

Respected President of the association, Rajaram Singh Priyadarshi, emphasized that the march aims to convey to the government that the nation's security depends on the safety of education and teachers. Sanjay Kumar, Block Convenor of Badahara, warned of larger movements if the government fails to consider their demands. Treasurer Manoj Kumar Kiran announced a one-day hunger strike by Bhojpur teachers on September 25, 2026. Kumari Alka, General Secretary of the National Women Teachers Front, Bihar, expressed concern over the deteriorating education system and the imposition of non-academic burdens on teachers.
