Araria: Two Bangladeshi nationals have been arrested by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel deployed at the India-Nepal border in Araria district. The individuals were attempting to enter Indian territory from Nepal without valid documents. Following preliminary questioning, they were handed over to the Sonamani Godam police station for further legal action.

According to reports, SSB's B company personnel from the Amgachhi Dubatola border outpost were on regular patrol when they spotted two suspicious individuals entering Indian territory, approximately 20 meters from the Nepal side, in the Sonamani Godam area. The jawans immediately stopped and interrogated them. The individuals identified themselves as Zahid Hussain Jihad (22) and Rahmat Ali (43), both residents of Bitara, Kachua, Chandpur district, Bangladesh. They possessed no valid passport or visa for entry into India.

During initial questioning, both stated that they had entered India from Kathmandu, Nepal, and planned to return to Bangladesh via the Siliguri Corridor in West Bengal, heading towards the Assam-Bangladesh border. Araria SDPO Sushil Kumar confirmed the arrests, stating that detailed interrogation is underway and all aspects of the case are being thoroughly investigated. The arrests were made by the personnel of the 56th Battalion's Amgachhi BOP.
