In a significant crackdown on crime in Bihar, police have successfully apprehended a gang involved in a knifepoint robbery of jewelry worth seven lakh rupees, along with two jewelers who aided them. This arrest is the culmination of a meticulous investigation that utilized both technical and human intelligence.

According to police sources, the robbery occurred recently, targeting a jewelry store where the perpetrators, armed with knives, threatened the owner and made off with gold and silver ornaments worth several lakhs. Following the incident, the police promptly formed a special investigation team (SIT).

During the probe, authorities meticulously reviewed CCTV footage, gathered intelligence from informants, and kept a close watch on suspects. These efforts led to crucial leads that helped identify the main members of the gang. Surprisingly, the investigation also revealed the involvement of two local jewelers who were assisting the gang in disposing of the stolen ornaments, thereby facilitating their criminal activities.

Following the interrogation of the arrested individuals, the police have recovered some of the stolen jewelry. Officials stated that this gang was not only involved in robberies but also had connections to the illegal trade of ornaments. This operation has not only unraveled a major robbery but also helped tighten the noose around the illicit jewelry market. Police are now conducting further investigations to identify other members of this gang and their network. This action has instilled fear among criminals and strengthened the sense of security among the general public.
