Benipatti police arrested two youths with 10 grams of brown sugar during a vehicle check on Sunday night. The arrests took place on the under-construction Bharatmala four-lane road near the Block Bypass Road within the Benipatti police station area. A police patrol team was conducting vehicle checks around 8 PM on Sunday night when they noticed suspicious activity from two youths approaching on a motorbike from the Uchhaith direction on the four-lane road.

The police promptly signaled the motorcyclists to stop and conducted a search. During the inspection, 10 grams of brown sugar were recovered from their possession. Following the recovery, both youths were formally arrested and brought to the police station. The arrested individuals have been identified as Akhilesh Thakur and Manoj Kumar Mukhiya, both residents of Katayya village, which falls under the Benipatti police station jurisdiction. Police are currently undertaking further legal proceedings in the case.
