An unidentified body was discovered in the Nokha Canal, under the jurisdiction of Nokha police station in Rohtas district, causing a stir among locals. The body was found entangled in the canal waters near Shri Khinda village. Residents who spotted the body immediately alerted the police. Upon receiving the information, Nokha police promptly arrived at the scene and initiated efforts to retrieve the body from the canal.

According to police officials, the body appeared to be approximately 5-6 days old, making identification challenging due to its decomposed state. The police have taken custody of the remains and sent them to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. Local residents and police personnel at the scene suspect that the body might have drifted from an upstream location and become lodged in the canal near Shri Khinda village.

The Nokha Station House Officer stated that efforts are underway to identify the deceased. Missing person reports from neighboring police stations are also being reviewed to aid in identification. Police have appealed to the public to come forward with any information regarding the individual. Currently, the police are conducting a thorough investigation to ascertain the identity of the deceased and determine the cause of death.
