Panic spread in Belhar, Banka district, after the body of an unidentified 35-year-old man was found on Thursday near a passenger shed at the Devdham temple complex, located at the block headquarters. A large crowd gathered to see the body. Upon receiving information, Belhar police arrived at the Devdham complex, took custody of the body, and transported it to the police station.

According to the police, the body will be kept at the police station for identification before being sent to Banka for post-mortem examination. It was revealed that on Wednesday, the same youth was found unconscious near Taraiya Mor, and the police had admitted him to the Belhar Community Health Centre for treatment. However, it is unknown when the youth left the hospital after his treatment.

On Thursday, some locals discovered the youth's body in a muddy pit. Mistaking him for being alive, they pulled him out of the pit and placed the mud-covered body in the passenger shed. Station House Officer Dinesh Kumar Verma stated that the body has not yet been identified, and efforts are underway to ascertain his identity.
