BHAGALPUR | Doubts are emerging regarding the timely completion of the Vikramshila Setu restoration project due to its slow pace. The three-month deadline for the work is now under question. In the past 12 days, only one weak slab has been cut and removed. The removal of the second slab is also progressing slowly, with less than half of it cut in four days. At the current rate, it is anticipated that another four days will be needed to remove this slab completely.

Sources indicate a lack of cooperation from engineers of the bridge construction corporation, further delaying the work. Given the progress made so far, it is clear that if the pace of work does not accelerate, completing the restoration within the stipulated three-month timeframe will be extremely challenging. This sluggish progress has cast a serious shadow over the successful completion of the project.
