Two cattle traders from Warisnagar police station area in Samastipur district were robbed of Rs 4.41 lakh at gunpoint in Forbesganj, Araria district. The victim traders, Vakil Qureshi and Shakeel Qureshi, are residents of Warisnagar. The incident has created an atmosphere of fear among local businessmen.

According to available information, both traders had gone to Chandradei Haat in Araria to sell cattle. After selling the cattle, they reached Rajokhar and were returning to Samastipur in their car with the sale proceeds of Rs 4.41 lakh. During their return, some miscreants started following their car from near the Araria Toll Plaza. Near the border of Lalitgram-Pratapganj police station area, about six armed miscreants overtook and stopped their car. The criminals tried to apprehend both, but Shakeel Qureshi managed to escape. The miscreants then abducted Vakil Qureshi, forcing him into his own car and taking him to Lutia Pul on the Forbesganj-Raniganj main road. There, they stole Rs 4.41 lakh kept under the car seat and fled.

After the incident, victim Vakil Qureshi reached Patna Bus Stand in Forbesganj late at night and informed the local police. According to Forbesganj police, an FIR has been registered, and investigations are underway.
