Wazirganj block in Gaya district has achieved a remarkable feat in the NITI Aayog's March 2026 quarterly ranking. The block secured the 20th position nationwide and the 3rd position within Bihar, showcasing significant progress and development. At the state level, Chaura block of Madhepura district ranked first, followed by Aandar block of Siwan district in second place.

Prabhakar Singh, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Wazirganj, expressed immense satisfaction with this achievement. He attributed the success to the excellent coordination and dedicated efforts of officials and staff across all departments at the block level. Singh specifically lauded the contributions of personnel from child development projects, education, panchayat raj, health, agriculture, animal husbandry, and sanitation sectors. He emphasized that the hard work of Anganwadi workers, healthcare providers, teachers, and agricultural and animal husbandry staff was instrumental in this accomplishment.

The BDO also specially commended the role of Aspirational Block Fellow Manmohan, highlighting that regular monitoring of various indicators, systematic data collection, and technical support played a crucial part in achieving this success. Prabhakar Singh expressed confidence that if all departments continue to work collaboratively, Wazirganj block would soon secure a place among the top five blocks in the country in upcoming rankings.
