A woman in Hewantpur village, under the Rewati police station jurisdiction, has accused her neighbor of assault and misbehavior. Following her complaint, Rewati police registered an FIR against the accused on Thursday evening and have initiated an investigation into the matter.

The complainant, Sunaina Devi, wife of Ganesh Yadav, a resident of Hewantpur, informed the police that the incident occurred on the afternoon of September 30. Sunaina Devi was burning grass in her field located in Srikantpur when her neighbor, Harendra Yadav, son of Dhanji Yadav, arrived and began verbally abusing her. When Sunaina Devi protested, Harendra allegedly physically assaulted her.

The victim further alleges that after the assault, Harendra grabbed her hand and attempted to drag her towards some bushes. Upon her screaming for help, the accused fled the scene after threatening her with dire consequences. Immediately after the incident, the woman went to the Rewati police station to file her complaint.

Rewati Station House Officer (SHO) Anil Kumar Singh confirmed that an FIR has been registered against Harendra Yadav under relevant sections based on Sunaina Devi's complaint. The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the case.
