A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday morning in Baretha village (Ward No. 10) under Rosera police station in Samastipur district, where a 30-year-old woman, Chanda Devi, died of electrocution while cooking at home. The entire village is in mourning following the incident.

According to reports, Chanda Devi was preparing fish in her kitchen on Tuesday morning. During this time, a stand fan kept nearby became unbalanced and fell on her. The fan was live with electricity, and upon contact, Chanda Devi suffered a severe electric shock. She was critically burned and collapsed on the spot.

Following the accident, family members and neighbors immediately rushed her to a nearby private clinic for treatment. However, due to her critical condition, she passed away on the way before reaching the hospital. The deceased leaves behind her husband, three young children, and in-laws. The family is devastated by this loss. Local police and administration have been informed of the incident, and further action is being taken.
