A tragic incident has been reported from Gopalganj district where a woman died due to a snake bite. The incident occurred when the woman was in her home's toilet, and a snake suddenly fell on her from the roof. The deceased has been identified as Reena Devi, 30, wife of Santosh Sah, a resident of Majhagarh village within the Manjha police station area.

According to family members, Reena Devi went to the toilet late on Tuesday night. During this time, a venomous snake unexpectedly fell from the toilet roof onto her and bit her. Reena Devi screamed, and other family members immediately rushed to the scene. They found her in pain with the snake still present.

Family members promptly admitted Reena Devi to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital for treatment. Doctors initiated immediate medical care, but the snake's venom had already spread throughout her body. Despite all efforts, Reena Devi succumbed during treatment on Wednesday morning. The entire family is engulfed in grief. Reena Devi leaves behind an 8-month-old son, who has now lost his mother.

This incident has created an atmosphere of fear in the village, with residents appealing for caution to prevent such occurrences. The police have taken the body into custody for post-mortem examination and have initiated an investigation into the matter.
