A young woman attempted suicide by jumping into the Narayani River near Paniyahwa after a dispute with her family. The incident occurred on the Paniyahwa bridge, where she took the drastic step. However, due to the swift action of passersby and the police, her life was saved.

Eyewitnesses reported that the woman arrived at the bridge, looked around for a while, and then suddenly leaped into the river. On witnessing this, several passersby immediately raised an alarm and rushed to help. Simultaneously, the Paniyahwa police were informed and promptly arrived at the scene. With the combined efforts of the police and local residents, the woman was safely pulled out of the river.

According to police sources, the woman stated during initial questioning that she was upset with her family over some issue, which led her to take this extreme step. The police have taken her into custody and are providing necessary counseling. Her family has been notified and is en route to the police station.
