In a significant operation, police in the Chautarwa police station area of Bagaha police district have arrested a youth along with a pistol, three magazines, and 20 live cartridges. The arrested individual has been identified as Ashish Kumar, son of Shailendra Patel, a resident of Navka Tola Badgaon in the Bagaha police station area.

Chautarwa Station House Officer (SHO) Jitendra Kumar stated that the police received confidential information about an accused involved in an arms-related case hiding in the Chautarwa police station area. After verifying the information, a police team, comprising personnel from Bagaha police station, the DIO team, and SI Srishti Kumari of Chautarwa police station, conducted a raid and apprehended Ashish Kumar.

According to the SHO, during interrogation, it was revealed that the arrested accused had committed a crime in Hyderabad using the recovered pistol. After the incident, he fled Hyderabad and was hiding at his brother-in-law Sandeep Kumar's house in Chautarwa. Police also informed that a case is registered against him in Telangana. The police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections and presented him in court on Thursday, from where he was sent to judicial custody. Police are currently investigating the identity and involvement of other individuals in this case. Officials stated that further action would be taken based on the facts that emerge during the investigation.
