A tragic road accident in the Rosera police station area of Samastipur district resulted in the death of a young man. The incident occurred late Wednesday evening when a speeding Scorpio, en route to Begusarai, struck the youth. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, leading to an atmosphere of grief and anger in the locality.

According to eyewitnesses, the youth was either standing by the roadside or walking when an uncontrolled Scorpio, coming from the direction of Begusarai, hit him with great force. The impact was so severe that the youth sustained critical injuries and died on the spot. Following the accident, the Scorpio driver managed to flee with the vehicle.

Local residents immediately informed the police. Rosera police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it to Samastipur Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. The police have registered a case against the unknown Scorpio driver and have initiated an investigation. Efforts are underway to examine nearby CCTV footage to identify the absconding driver and vehicle.
