A wave of shock has gripped Ganaul village in Bhagalpur district after the body of a young man was discovered in a bamboo grove. The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Chandan Paswan, son of Munna Paswan, a resident of Ganaul village. The condition of the body strongly suggests murder, as the victim's eyes were found gouged out. This grim discovery comes after Chandan had been missing since Sunday evening, having left his home and not returned.

According to family members, Chandan Paswan left home on Sunday evening but did not return by late night. His family began searching for him but found no trace. On Monday morning, some villagers passing by the bamboo grove spotted a body and immediately informed the local residents and the police. Upon receiving the information, local police arrived at the scene and took possession of the body.

Police conducted an examination of the body at the crime scene. Initial investigations revealed that the victim's eyes were severely damaged, indicating a clear case of murder. The police have sent the body to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital (JLNMCH) in Mayaganj, Bhagalpur, for post-mortem examination.
