Ayush Kumar alias Aasu Paswan, an absconding accused in Bikram Police Station Case No. 240/25 in Patna district, has been arrested by the police. Ayush was apprehended from Danapur on October 1, 2026. He is the 23-year-old son of the late Bhagwan Paswan, a resident of Shripalpur in Bhojpur district.

According to the police, sufficient evidence was found against the accused during the investigation of the case. A chargesheet had already been filed in court on May 11, 2026, but Ayush was absconding at that time. The case was registered on June 10, 2025, at Bikram Police Station under sections 103(1), 61(2), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The court had previously issued an attachment warrant against the accused.

Following his arrest, the police conducted a medical check-up of Ayush and prepared the necessary legal documents. He was presented in court on Friday, from where he was sent to judicial custody.
