A significant announcement has been made for electricity consumers in Araria city. On Wednesday, July 28, the power supply in the city will be disrupted for three hours. This interruption is due to conductor stringing work on the 33 KV New Zero Mile feeder.

According to the electricity department, power will be shut down from 10 AM to 1 PM for the 11 KV New Town Feeder, 11 KV Zero Mile Feeder, and 11 KV Chandradei Feeder, all originating from the Araria Urban Power Substation. During this period, electricity supply will be completely affected in all areas connected to these feeders. The department stated that this technical work will be carried out in compliance with safety standards. Temporary power shutdown is necessary to prevent accidents and ensure the work is completed safely.

Consumers have been urged to complete their essential electricity-related tasks before the scheduled time. This includes filling water tanks, charging mobile phones and other electronic devices, and completing other necessary domestic and commercial work to avoid inconvenience during the power outage. Vikas Kumar, Assistant Electrical Engineer of the electricity department, stated that efforts would be made to complete the work within the stipulated time with the cooperation of consumers. He appealed to people to avoid contact with power lines or electrical equipment during the shutdown period and to follow departmental guidelines.

The department clarified that power supply would be restored normally after the conductor stringing work is completed. However, if any technical obstacle arises or the weather is unfavorable, the power restoration time may change. The department has requested consumers' cooperation and patience for this temporary inconvenience.
