A shocking case of a 20-year-old woman being brutally murdered has emerged from Ward No. 09 of Ajhuwa village, Matiyari Panchayat, under the Jokihat block of Araria district. The incident has sent shockwaves through the area. Upon receiving information, Jokihat police immediately arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it to Araria Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family members. The deceased has been identified as Jumani (20), daughter of Mohsin, a resident of Ajhuwa village.

The family members have alleged that a neighbor committed the crime following a minor dispute. According to the victim's sister, the neighbor's goat had entered their paddy field, a complaint about which their parents had made to the neighbor. It is alleged that angered by this complaint, the neighbor first assaulted the family and then, late at night, slit Jumani's throat, leading to her death.

However, the police state that the matter appears suspicious at first glance. Jokihat Police Station Head Rajiv Kumar Jha mentioned that the cause of the incident and the allegations can only be confirmed after the post-mortem report and scientific investigation are complete. The Station Head, along with his police team, reached the spot, inspected the crime scene, and collected necessary evidence. The police are recording statements from the family members and conducting a thorough investigation into all aspects. They have assured that appropriate legal action will be taken against the culprits once the investigation is complete.
