A shocking incident has emerged from Aurangabad district, where an aunt allegedly threw her two-year-old nephew into a canal, leading to his death. The accused aunt, Neetu Kumari (25), has been arrested by the police and has confessed to the crime. The incident occurred in Ganga Bigha village, under the Daudnagar police station area.

According to the police, Neetu Kumari, wife of Jaiprakash Yadav and a resident of Ganga Bigha, committed the heinous act due to a family dispute and a desire for revenge against her brother-in-law, Vikas Yadav. Neetu told the police that her husband, Jaiprakash Yadav, was instigated against her by Vikas Yadav and his wife, Sangeeta Devi, which led to her husband frequently physically abusing her. Driven by this desire for revenge, she threw her brother-in-law's son, Bhola Kumar alias Prince Kumar, into a nearby canal on October 1st.

The child's mother, Sangeeta Devi, had filed a missing person report for her two-year-old son, Bhola Kumar, at the Daudnagar police station on Thursday. The police registered case number 675/26 and initiated an investigation. Given the seriousness of the matter, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed under the leadership of Daudnagar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Chandrabhushan Kumar. The SIT utilized technical evidence, confidential information, and a dog squad for the investigation.

During the investigation, the police detained Neetu Kumari based on suspicion. During questioning, she admitted to throwing the child into the canal. The child's body was recovered from the canal next to their house on Wednesday morning. The accused aunt has been arrested and sent to jail, and further legal action in the case is ongoing.
