A startling incident has come to light in the education department of Bihar's Aurangabad district, where a lower-division clerk allegedly impersonated the District Education Officer (DEO). The clerk is accused of forging the DEO's signatures on several important documents and issuing orders in their name. Following these serious allegations, the Regional Deputy Director of Education (RDDE) of Magadh Division has suspended the accused clerk with immediate effect.

According to information received, the matter surfaced when teacher Ravi Ranjan Kumar (Upgraded High School, Chatra) applied for an order of qualification extension, and teacher Garima Chauhan (Government Middle School, Pali, Nabinagar) sought signatures on her service book at the Aurangabad District Education Officer's office. It is alleged that Arvind Kumar, a lower-division clerk in the office, took bribes from both and then forged the DEO's signatures on their service books. He also issued office orders for qualification extension by signing himself instead of the DEO.

Upon discovering the matter, District Education Officer Dayashankar Singh sought an explanation from the clerk, but the clerk disregarded the order and failed to respond. Subsequently, the DEO informed Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary, the Regional Deputy Director of Education for Magadh Division, who, taking the matter seriously, ordered the immediate suspension of the accused clerk, Arvind Kumar. Until the investigation is complete, the accused clerk's headquarters have been set at the District Education Officer, Gayaji office.
