Aurangabad, Hindustan Representative: The 'Drug-Free Bihar Campaign' will be launched in the district starting today, October 27th, and will continue until November 26th. Various awareness programs will be organized at Chhath Ghats, markets, schools, colleges, and public places as part of this month-long initiative. The primary objective of the campaign is to spread the message of de-addiction to every citizen.

To ensure the successful implementation of the campaign, a review meeting was held via video conferencing on Monday, chaired by the Chief Secretary of Bihar. Aurangabad District Magistrate Abhilasha Sharma participated in this meeting. Detailed discussions took place regarding the campaign's action plan, the responsibilities of various departments, and how to effectively convey the message of de-addiction through public participation.

During the campaign, messages promoting de-addiction will be disseminated through banners and posters in urban areas, particularly in municipal bodies and market zones. Street plays and other public awareness programs will also be organized to reach a wider audience. In rural areas, Jeevika groups and other community organizations will collaborate to encourage people to stay away from intoxicants.

Active participation from students will be ensured in schools and colleges. Students will be administered an oath of de-addiction, and essay, debate, and poetry competitions will also be organized. Furthermore, during the Chhath Mahaparv, messages related to de-addiction will be widely publicized at the ghats.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on forming a district-level campaign committee, assigning departmental responsibilities, and setting block-wise targets for the effective execution of the campaign. Officials were also instructed to regularly review the activities conducted and prepare reports. District Magistrate Abhilasha Sharma has directed the concerned officials to prepare a detailed action plan for the campaign and to coordinate among all departments to carry out the activities within the stipulated timeframe.
