Patients and their families at Aurangabad Sadar Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are facing immense difficulties due to a malfunctioning air conditioner. Amidst severe heat and humidity, critically ill patients are undergoing treatment without AC, exacerbating their already challenging conditions.

According to hospital sources, the AC units in the ICU have not been functioning properly for several days and have now completely broken down. This situation has led to a significant increase in the temperature inside the ICU, causing patients to experience excessive sweating and discomfort. This is particularly critical for patients on ventilators or other life-support systems, where high temperatures can be life-threatening.

Family members reported that their patients, already in critical condition, are deteriorating further due to the heat and humidity. One relative stated, "It's so hot here that it will take longer for the patient to recover. The hospital administration should address this immediately."

The hospital administration has informed that engineers have been called for repairs, but it may take at least four days for the ACs to be fixed. Until then, patients will have to endure the heat and humidity during their treatment. This incident highlights the lack of proper health facilities and maintenance negligence at the hospital.
